The topic I am gonna write in this article it’s something I am trying to build but Fifa regulations don’t let me. I haven’t found a way yet to make it but there is always a way. (Correction-> if people want it, there is always a way) Imagine from one side you have a lot of fans excited to invest in soccer players and on the other side you have clubs and players needing resources to reach their development. A product that lets fans invest in players should exist but FIFA regulations prohibit people from participating in the individual player's future.
I like the idea, and I think it's possible without FIFA have to change their regulations. I see it as an intermediary, a comparison could be Chilean fintech startup Fintual, StadioX plays as the entity that invest in players ("stocks") and fans could access to these groups of players as "mutual funds".
Either way, this is already possible for teams, they can join regular crowdfunding platforms and create a campaign for "Marco, Luca and Pedro" the next "Messi, Ney and CR".
I see it as a triple way solution, a platform where leagues, teams and players can propose their long-term project to let fans invest in them. This platform filter and curate those proposals.
- Leagues: they can update proposal to create their own streaming match platform, marketing, develop youth leagues, you name it. Everything in order to growth their league, players, and ecosystem. This helps both, team, players and fan.
- Team: Your example, but not for a fixed group of players. Instead of that, fans will invest in a whole category (ex. 2003/2004) any player of that litter that succeed, investors win
- Players: StadioX plays as agent of this player, deal with the club and player to take a % of his/her pass. If the player succeed, investors win
Completely agree :) and we find the hack to make it happen.
Also, the idea is to start with soccer because it's the most popular, after that we plan to open to new sports. Any athlete should be able to raise from the public

This could go beyond soccer too 🚀
